This role sits within the Offer & Supply Chain (or OSC’s) Sourcing team. The Sourcing function is set up to source the products we sell across our Operating Companies, manage our suppliers and make the most of our scale to deliver high quality products our customers want, at a cost they can afford.
They have a great opportunity to lower the total costs of our new ranges while improving product quality, doing this by reducing the number of products we stock, designing new ranges to cost and sourcing high quality global manufacturers who can produce large volumes for a lower price per unit.
As the Assistant Product Sourcing Manager you will work alongside the Product Sourcing Manager leading the sourcing of our new factories and innovative products with the aim of driving sustainable CPR (cost price reduction) and improving operations efficiency within the wider organisation.
You will support the Product Sourcing Manager in managing all aspects of the sourcing project process from receiving the product briefs from the Range Sourcing team through to delivery into the Opco's.
This role focusses on our building category, which includes, Timber, Brick, Insulation and Joinery.
To be successful within this role you will have proven experience of working within a buying, procurement or sourcing position. Able to demonstrate your ability to build successful relationships both internally and externally.
You will understand manufacturing processes and have the drive to learn a new category as Building experience is not essential.
