We’re Kingfisher. You might know us as B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama, Brico Depot or Koçtaş. We’re made up of 79,000 passionate people, call 1,302 stores home and operate in 10 countries. That’s right, we’re big, but we have ambitions to become even bigger and even better. We want to become the leading home improvement company and grow the largest community of home improvers in the world. And that’s where you come in.
At Kingfisher, we’re revolutionising the way our renowned brands – B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama, Brico Depot and Koçtaş – operate. Offer and Supply is working globally across all our brands so that our 6 million customers recognise the same unified product ranges at the same prices, wherever they are in the world. Here, collaborating with colleagues is essential – whether you’re creating and deciding what we’ll sell globally or delivering new and exciting products to our customers, you’ll push boundaries and make your mark. There’s no doubt that this new way of working is challenging, but it’s also very rewarding – and with that comes opportunity. Opportunity that’s yours for the taking.
One of the ways we will achieve our ambition is by developing a complete, Unique and Unified Home Improvement offer based on good Quality that our customers can count on. Understanding what our customer is telling us and building that into the product design process is key to our strategy of focusing our Quality around the customer.
At Kingfisher, the Group Head of Product Quality provides technical leadership for the “end to end” quality performance and compliance of our products. You will be responsible to secure planning, prioritization and execution of product offer development projects, ensuring that customer needs have been properly translated into manufacturable technical requirements. Success in this role will be transitioning our existing technical team into a product development mind-set, bringing customer relevant criteria to our products, optimizing materials, costs and people resources while always delivering uncompromising product quality and safety.
For this role you will have previous experience in leading a large technical team in a product development environment and experience in leading and developing this large team which includes strong leaders through change. This will mean you must have the ability to lead your team in a global matrix organisation with a proven ability to move between strategic, tactical and operational levels. You must have demonstrated in previous roles an understanding of customer needs in different markets and how to apply that in offer building. Proficiency in the use of IT systems, including Excel, PowerPoint and web-based systems in an essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our global business. In return, we provide an inspirational working environment, a competitive benefits package and opportunities to stretch and grow your career. Interested? Great, we can’t wait to hear from you.
