    The position of the Responsible Sourcing Specialist sits within our Sustainability function who play a vital role in achieving Kingfisher’s long-term vision ‘to create good homes by making home improvement accessible for everyone’. And we know that a good home is a sustainable home.

    Responsibilities

    The role of the Responsibility Sourcing Specialist for WEBO is to drive ethical sourcing practices and continuous improvement in Kingfisher’s supply chain.

     

    To do so, they will be supporting the Responsible Sourcing function manager to prioritise and conduct ethical supplier audits, and be working with the local Buying Offices to on-board suppliers using the Kingfisher process.

     

    They will liaise with 3rd party audit providers to conduct factory assessment - and develop post audit action plans consistent with risks identified in the audit and the agreed development programme strategy for Kingfisher suppliers.

     

    Where needed, they will escalate issues and risks to the Responsible Sourcing Manager and be a real support for the identification of key issues and corresponding solutions, trends and themes in the supplier base.

     

    This person will develop a framework to demonstrate continuous improvement in labour standards & environmental practices and to reduce supply chain impact.

    He/She will help implement communities’ strategy in supply chain.

     

    More generally, on this role you will be accountable for sustainability reporting data metrics in relation to Supplier Audits for their particular sphere of responsibility.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will be well versed in social and environmental challenges in global sourcing and global supply chain. He demonstrates interest for and experience in data management and reporting, as well as monitoring and improving standards in the supply chain, through compliance and auditing and alternative solutions.

    You will need to have strong data analysis mindset and management using internal & external systems. Reporting, communication and presentations will be part of this job.

    You will need to engage and influence different stakeholders, building strong relationships with sourcing teams and suppliers.

    You will need to be an expert in MS Office, especially excel.

    Sedex and SMETA audit training are desirable.
